Project description

I’ve worked as a copy-editor, developmental editor and translation editor on numerous projects and text types including novels, marketing texts and educational content. As an editor, I always do my best to follow my client’s brief and to adapt to their needs.

As a result, I often develop highly interactive relationships with my clients, where I act as both a sounding board and an advisor. On other occasions, the client needs me to understand their brief quickly and get the job done for them as efficiently and independently as possible. This sometimes includes working on their content management platforms. I’m a fast learner and am happy to adapt my approach as required.

Below is a sample list of projects where I’ve been employed as a freelance editor.

2013–present, Editor in Chief of The Translator’s Studio blog.

2024–25, editing of the English translations of four novels originally written in Spanish, private client.

2024, blog post editing and SEO optimization, Smartcat.

2024, developmental editing and copy-editing of GCSE Spanish learning content for Pearson, Integra Ltd.

2023–24, extensive post-editing of translated texts in the legal field for the European Union, various agencies.

2017, translation, editing and proofreading of A Watercolour a Day, by Óscar Asensio, Promopress.

2016, copy-editing and proofreading of an unpublished novel, private client.

2016, checking and copy-editing of Infographics, Promopress.
