Work history

I’m an expert in translation and post-editing with two MAs (one in translation studies and the other in legal translation) and +15 years’ professional experience. My clients appreciate my work for its outstanding accuracy combined with my natural use of language and informed stylistic decisions. I’m known for good communications and smooth working relationships.

Over the course of my long career in translation, I’ve worked on a huge variety of text types from websites, books and essays to contracts, presentations and court cases. I’ve also encountered a vast range of subject areas spanning everything from the Charlie Chaplain museum, agile management and jewellery manufacture to annual accounts, insider trading and the abandonment of seafarers. In short, there aren’t many subject areas I haven’t worked in.

As a Chartered Linguist and member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (MCIL 42814), I can certify translations for official purposes in the UK.

Below is a small sample of the types of projects I’ve worked on over the years.
